Zoom … [sigh]

On the way to class yesterday, I passed a student in the lobby of the building, seated at one of the tables, eating a bagel in front of a computer screen.

This student had received permission to Zoom my class this semester because health issues prevented them from being on campus.

So, I went upstairs and taught a class … while they sat downstairs and watched it on their laptop …with a bagel.

It was the last day of class, so I’m not “looking into it”. I do wonder how many times they (and probably others) were actually watching my classes from somewhere in the same building rather than actually in the classroom.

If the issue was the bagel, I would have been fine for them to eat it in the room.
